The Montgomery County softball team began its 2024 season on Sept. 3 with a 5-4 win over Hermann at Kiwanis Fields. Reese Hill had two hits, including a solo home in the bottom of the first. Aliviah Fischer and Jillian Weekley each had two hits and Gracie Cobb drove in two runs for the Wildcats, who won their second straight season opener. Theo Tate photos
