The Wellsville-Middletown cross country team qualified three runners to the Class 1 state meet on Nov. 5 in Columbia -- senior Kaleb Peak, junior Bethany Slovensky and sophomore Hunter Bickell. They all finished in the top 30 at the Class 1, District 3 meet in Fulton on Oct. 29 to clinch state berths. Bickell and Peak finished 16th and 20th, respectively, in the boys meet and Slovensky came in 26th in the girls meet. It's the 29th straight year that W-M has qualified at least one runner to state.
