Two charged in connection to July burglary

Criminal charges have been filed against two people who police said stole a 65-inch television and other items from a High Hill residence in July and then attempted to sell them on Facebook.

Both Michael W. Geers, of Florissant, and Ann M. Geno, of Wentzville, are both charged with felony receiving stolen property.

According to the probable cause statement, both suspects were staying at a High Hill hotel and photos were believed to be taken of the stolen items and displayed on Facebook. The combined value of the stolen items, which included an air compressor, hand tools and cooler, was approximately $1,700, police reported. A hotel employee also told police she observed a large television  and cooler in the room.
