Health department, R-II teaming up to fight flu
Montgomery County Health Department is working with the Montgomery County R-II School District  to give seasonal influenza (Flu) vaccine.  
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices strongly recommends that all individuals age 6 months of age and older be vaccinated against the Flu.  Vaccination is the best way to protect your child and their close contacts from the Flu.

Montgomery County Health Department will be offering the flu vaccine to all students (ages 4 through 18) and all staff at all four schools in the district. 
Jonesburg Elementary will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, Montgomery City Elementary will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22, and the Middle School and High School will be on Friday, Oct. 25.
Vaccine Information Statement for Flu Vaccine are available from your school nurses or at the Health Department. 
If you would like for your child to receive the flu vaccine at school, please register online at and use access CODE:  MO04914 (second O is a zero).  Choose your child’s school to begin registration. Once complete you will receive a confirmation page confirming your child has been registered.  
The deadline for registration is Oct. 4 for Jonesburg Elementary and Oct. 15 for Montgomery City Elementary, Middle School and High School.  
If you are unable to register online, you may get a registration form from your school nurse.
