George Krumanocker

George Owen Krumanocker, 93, of Danville, died on Monday, January 11, 2021, at the Jonesburg Care Center.
George Owen Krumanocker was born on July 10, 1927 in Danville, to John Edward Krumanocker and Clara L. Young Krumanocker. He married Norma Geraldine Hubbard on August 27, 1949 in Montgomery City, and were married for over 66 wonderful years when Mrs. Krumanocker preceded George in death on April 16, 2016. Mr. Krumanocker was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 years old in September, 1944 and was honorable discharged as a Coxwain in December, 1947. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 513, a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed coyote and coon hunting. He was a loving Father and Husband, always putting his family first. He will be dearly missed.
Mr. Krumanocker is survived by two daughters, Norma Carol Waterman and husband, Mark, of Sperry, Iowa and Georgetta Diane Krumanocker of Danville; grandchildren: Joseph B. Sublette of Trusdale; Jason B. Sublette and wife, Shauna, of St. Louis; and granddaughter-in-law, Cherry Hollensteiner of Fayetteville, North Carolina; great-grandchildren: Nathan Hollensteiner and wife, Megan, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Haley Hollensteiner and Dillon Hollensteiner, both of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and great-great-grandchildren, Payton, Jason, and Ellie. Also surviving is one brother-in-law, Lanny Lee Hubbard and wife, Mary Lou, of rural Montgomery City; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Krumanocker was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Clara L. Young Krumanocker; his wife, Norma Geraldine Hubbard Krumanocker; two sisters, Teresa and Mary; two brothers: Johnny and Jim; one brother-in-law, Marion Glenn “Pete” Hubbard; and two grandchildren: Patrick T. Hollensteiner and Clifford O. Hollensteiner.
A Family Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. Masks are required. The Reverend Ed Hankinson will officiate and interment with full Military Honors will be in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City. There will not be any visitation. Casket bearers include Jason Sublette, Joe Sublette, Richard Belko, Mark Hug, Tim Hubbard, and Pete Hubbard. Honorary casket bearers include Nathan Hollensteiner, Leroy Wright, Barry Hubbard, and Mark Waterman.
